Donald Trump’s bogus claim that millions of people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/11/27/trumps-bogus-claim-that-millions-of-people-voted-illegally-for-hillary-clinton/

Soon-to be president Donald Trump said on Twitter that millions of people have voted for Hillary Clinton illegally. Clinton had won the popular vote by 2.2 million votes, which Trump claims to be BS and that he should have won the popular vote as well as the electoral college, which really matters in the election. Although many controversial rumors have been spreading to claim this true, there has been no direct evidence to support this. Conservative fraud specialist Gregg Phillips tweeting out that the election had been rigged and that the number of votes by non-citizen voters exceeded 3 million, as well as claiming other false statements such as Obamacare was "the biggest voter registration fraud scheme in the history of the world" because of the fact that it provided opportunities for voter registration.

What do you think about Trump's claim on that the election was "rigged"?
Why do you think that Trump would make a false statement like this?
How do these actions affect your outlook on Trump as a future president ?

  1. I think that it's ridiculous that he is still claiming the election is rigged even though he was the one that one it. I think the fact that Hillary is up by 2 million in the popular vote is why he is bringing this up again. No not at all. I still look at him the same way.

  2. Agreeing to what Noah has said, the reason an obscurd comment was said about the election being 'rigged' because Clinton won by a vast amount of votes (popular) compared to him. Trump still remains the same as in my belief both these candidates aren't fit to be the leader of our nation.

  3. The reason he claims that the election was rigged was because he hasn't had enough to laugh about over him winning the election and wants to just feed his ego.

  4. I don't see how this benefits him in any way because he already won. His claim just continues to prove how unfit he is to be our president. He's been making ridiculous claims like these from the very beginning and he hasn't changed since.

  5. The things he says are just completely ridiculous. As Haley said, there was no need to claim that the election was rigged because he already won. Perhaps he just wants to make Clinton and her supporters seem like frauds, and he claims that the votes were rigged to make himself appear better.

  6. I think trump is just trying to argue with the fact that he is losing the popular vote. The fact that he made this statement about something he already won shows his temperament, even though he won the race, he feels the need to argue with the people who dont like him.

  7. Although he says that the election was rigged, he still came out the winner. We do not know if it is false or not, but i believe he is trying to make his name bigger with more publicity. I believe that my actions are not affected by this, because what ever is going to happen will.

  8. Trump is always using confirmation bias. If he won the popular vote, he would not be making these claims. He already won anyways, so I don't see the point of him saying this.

  9. I think that the fact that he is arguing about the election being rigged, even though he won, just tells shows us that he is juvenile in his actions and this is a reflection on his outcome as the future president of america. When he speaks he uses pleonasm.

  10. I feel he should just drop the issue now that he's already won. He has no reason to continue to criticize his old political rival and suggest the negative influence he will have on the country if he cannot be diplomatic and get over old grievances.

  11. I think he always just tries to find something to complain about and he should just drop it. He won the election and that's not gonna change so he should just stop acting immature.

  12. Disagreeing with Rebecca, I believe that the election was in a way rigged being the media gave everyone a good idea of what will come as a result of this election. Clearly they were wrong, for Trump is now president, which is why his statement of the election being "rigged", can be deemed as a plausible statement.

  13. i agree with everyone who is saying trump should just drop the matter especially because he won, at this point the fact she did or did not cheat does not matter. From my point of view Trump being a president is only going to last 1 term because of immature accusations he makes such as this.

  15. the election was not rigged, and even if it was he's still going to be president why does it matter anymore? Trump might make a false statement like this just to bring his name back in the spotlight, honestly i forgot all about him until this happened.

  16. I believe that Trump should not worry about any rigs within the election since he already won the election. Nothing will change since he's already going to be the president.

  18. I truly do not care what he claims. He is already the elect, so at this point it doesn't matter.

  19. There is no reason for Trump to make this false statement because he won already. It is worrisome that the future leader of this country will spread and believe falsified information.

  20. There is no reason why Trump should've made that claim it was clearly unnecessary he already won the elect.

  21. I think that he he should've just let things be because he has already won the election. I don't know why trump would make an accusation like that because he won already. This just makes him look sad.

  22. Little actions like this, are too petty for what I think a president should focus on. Also he already won the presidency so I don't think its as big of a deal as hes making it.

  23. He already won so I don't get what's the point of making this a big deal

  24. Trump is petty. There is no reason to keep dwelling on this. He didn't win the popular vote and he needs to get over it. This shows what kind of president he will be because he makes false claims and rude accusations presidents should most definitely not be making.

  25. Trump already won, so the accusations will bring no benefit to him, but I think that he said this in order to further his agenda and narrative against illegal immigrants. It wasn't specifically to denounce Clinton, but rather to garner more support from people against illegal immigration.

  26. Trump should stop talking about how everything is rigged against him. He already won the presidential election but now he is just making himself look even worse.

  27. I don't know why he keeps talking about the election, he has already won so he should just be humble take his win and move on and stop saying these ridicules states that the elections were rigged.

  28. There should be no reason why he is sstill talking about how he won or how it was rigged. He won and yet he still complaining. Great leader...

  29. I think that he wants this so badly because he is going to reform the Electoral college, but doesn't want to lose the presidency over it. I'm okay with giving him this small win if it means reform for the future, especially over something that is pretty set in stone. I think that his statement about how great the electoral college is is just to keep him in power.

  30. Trump has already won the election and he continues to say that things were against him but he won, at this point I agree with comments above he is making himself look worse to those that do not like him. I think the only reason he is doing this is because he is upset that he did not win the popular vote

  31. It really doesn't make a difference whether or not the election was rigged, because he still won, and he's still going to be president.

  32. I suggest that we should not take social media very seriously nowadays because there's no way of finding out whether that information is relevant. We should open our minds to the truth instead of Googling something and clicking on the top result.

  33. I think his claim that this election was rigged is very immature and unnecessary. He won the presidency so I don't see why he has to keep complaining about how he did not win the popular vote, like that's all he cared about. This just deepens my doubts of him on the lines of he is just going to make us seem like we're living in this perfect country, when in reality we are no where near perfect and need to be reminded of it.

  34. What was the point in stating this he has already won, maybe he wants to rub this victory in Clinton's face? I honestly think that Trump will say anything and everything to get his face into media. This scares me because now he can say other things about countries that may offend other world leaders and make them go against us or even start wars.

  35. I think that this claim that Trump is making is ridiculous and childish. It looks like he is doing this to always find something wrong or a reason as to which why he is not succeeding in something and blames it on others. These actions confirm my concerns with Trump being our future president because he is so unpredictable and displays irregular temperamental acts that make me worried.

  36. I believe Trump would make a false statement like this in order to try and degrade Clinton even further as well as have people not focus on the votes that Trump may have gotten illegally. I believe that this affects my outlook on the Trump from the perspective of if he sees a wounded and hurt person he will go and attack him/she until he/she is broken and wounded. I don't think this is the correct approach from the president of the United States as well as any other government official.

  37. I think trump is saying all this because even though he won, he wants to make sure that people don't like clinton.

  38. Trump has made many false claims in the past during the race, and he still continues to make false claims during his presidency. This does not surprise me because even though he won, he still believes that Clinton can be a possible threat and does not want anyone to support her.

  39. Trumps accusations on discriminating Clintons supports is not right. People disagree with Trump due to his accusations like these. Its not humorous, entertaining, or mature.

  40. I think it's absurd for him to say it was rigged because he won the election and that's not fair because he is accusing Hillary of cheating when she didn't. I think this will make trump look bad in the future because he will doubt everything if what he wants is not done.
