Trump Vows Crackdown On Immigrants Who Overstay Visas if Elected

U.S. Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump offered up to the people on different ways on tackling or preventing illegal immigration from happening this last Saturday. A new way he said that he would help preventing illegal immigration is to crackdown on those who overstay their visas to quiet criticism from conservatives. Trump, who had talked at Iowa State Fairgrounds, was clarifying or explaining his views on how to overhaul the U.S. immigration system. At the meeting he says,"If we don't enforce visa expression dates, then we have a open border-it's as simple as that". He also says something to get those who were listening to him or watching become even more interested in the topic by saying,"Every time an African-American citizen, or any citizen, loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that citizen has been violated". By saying that he had caught viewers attention on the subject and began to agree with his claim on immigration. But at the same time before he had talked about kicking out 11 million immigrants just because they are labeled as immigrants. Trumps views seem to change throughout this election.

1) Do you think he is really trying to prevent illegal immigration?

2) Over everything you heard about Trump, do you think he should be president? Why or why not?

  1. I think at the moment it is unclear what his stance on immigration is. You are right, his views seem to be varying through the election. However, I have not heard anything about immigration from other countries. At the moment, it seems like he is only targeting Latinos when really he needs to turn his attention towards the major immigration issue: how to ensure immigration will be handled in the most justifying way possible. I do not think Trump is a good candidate for the leadership seat of one of the world's leading powers. It seems to me that he is not following what Republicans believe in, but instead he is on his own platform.

  2. I don't think that Trump is really going to prevent illegal immigration because I do not think that the government would have enough money to send all the illegal immigrants plus the time to send them back to their homes. I do not think that Trump should be president because of how he says all the things but can he really provide the promises that he says to the people that votes for him. I believe he can not since most presidents did not really promise all they can provide.

  3. I don't think Trump will be aloud to prevent illegal immigration because it would be to much money and time sending people to their homelands.

  4. I believe that because Trump's campaign team has changed, his stance on many issues has changed. The new campaign team is attempting to fix all of the mistakes that Trump made formerly, but to citizens and viewers Trump looks like he's flip flopping. I think that Trump is saying whatever he thinks the people will like. Personally I do not feel that he is fit to be president.

  5. I think it's ridiculous that he thinks he can just deport 11 million immigrants.

  6. Trump is a racist bigot and prejudice who hates black people and latinos. Who does he think he is if he believes in this "wall" idea per se. That is just ridiculous we should be integrating these illegal immigrants with open arms in an easy process to make Americans. Our country was founded on these liberal principles and it is our duty to offer the idealistic American Dream to illegals. Go Gary Johnson(tm).

  7. I think he is trying to prevent illegal immigration because he said he is and that citizens' rights are being violated if an illegal immigrant ¨takes¨ their job. He should not be president because he says extremely preposterous and offensive things and is inconsistent in everything he does.

  9. I do not believe his efforts to prevent illegal immigrants will make a difference. He has good morals in attempting to give citizens their full rights, but can he really keep all these promises he is making?

  10. I believe that Trump is trying to prevent illegal immigration in order to create security in the US. Also, Trump believes that illegal immigrants not only create danger to Americans but they also take American jobs.

  11. I believe Trump is trying to prevent illegal immigration to ensure that most Americans have jobs that are not taken away from illegal immigrants. I do believe that restricting illegal immigration is a good idea but I do not agree with Trump's methods of doing so.

  13. Trump is trying to prevent immigration so that more jobs will be available in the workforce but he is simply kicking people out just because they are immigrants. He may be making the US more secure but this is also racist in a way and the immigrants should be given a chance in the US

  14. I agree that trump is trying to prevent immigration to help current Americans out of bad economic times but his clothing line is made in china which isn't helping Americans get jobs.

  15. Trump ultimately is a racist however he is not being racist by deporting illegal immigrants, along with this he is not against immigration or immigrates. Yes Trump is an awful person and would not make a good president, however the who basis of deporting illegal immigrants is the fact that it is illegal, and there is a legal way to get in documented, however there are many who didn't take that rout, trump is not going to kick out citizens of the US or people who legally emigrated to the us, he would simply be cracking down on laws that have been emplace for many decades

  16. I personally believe that he will try to deport illegal immigrants, and over everything that i have heard i personally do not believe he should be president, because obviously he tends to make poor choices, like not releasing his tax returns which gives people the suspicion that he might be unto something that he shouldn't be.

  17. I don´t think Trumps ideology is changing he still doesn't want immigrants, so yeah I think he really is trying to prevent illegal immigration. I dont know if he should be president, because of the offensive statements hes said, his statements make us look bad and show the world the ugly side of America.

  18. I think that his stance is very unclear on immigration because he tends to contradict himself. I do not think he is trying to prevent illegal immigration because his opinion is for him to kick out or deport everyone that is here undocumented in this country, which would only hurt our economy, and it will not prevent future illegal immigration from happening.

  19. 1. YES
    2. From the things I have heard about him I think he shouldn't be president because he has no political experience before.

  20. I agree with you Cem, I feel he still has intentions on deporting all immigrants, but I feel he is not preventing illegal immigration more like disrecpecting immigrants

  21. Trump proclaims his faith is within the bible. Within the bible it has a lot of scriptures about acceptance and by saying... "If we don't enforce visa expression dates, then we have a open border-it's as simple as that" this opens controversy if Trump only mentions that he's a christian to gain votes through a religious stand point.

  22. I believe Trump is highly unqualified, unprofessional, and has made a mockery of the presidential election process. With his various traits that make him a very unqualified candidate, strengthens the fact of how he should not become the president of the U.S. Just because Trump is a very flawed candidate not only through my view but many others, my support does not go to his running mate Hillary Clinton, even though she seems to have the qualifications.

  23. I dont think Trump is genuine with his anti illegal immigration stance. He's just using the issue as a tool to get extreme right wingers to continue supporting him in the polls, and I doubt he'll keep his promises if he makes it in office.

  24. Yes. I think he has a strong plan to reduce illegal immigration with a wall and deportation, and create more jobs by increasing the border patrol and building a stronger military. No. I believe he lacks qualification to be the leader of the country. He has no real experience in a political position, such as a governor or senator. He is too cocky and so self-assured to ever be an effective politician much less the President of the United States. And most importantly, in my opinion, Trump is a fascist. His openness to registering all Muslims, his consideration of closing the border to all Muslims, his comments about Mexicans and comparing them to rapists and murderers and attacking women such as Carly Fiorina’s looks and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and many other statements he has made echo the sound of historical fascists.

  25. Yes, Trump is trying to crack down on illegal immigrants.
He should not be the president because his most of his motives are aggressive such as the use of nuclear weapons

  26. At this point we really don't know what he is actually trying to do because he keeps changing what he will do. Personally I do not believe that he should be president because he really doesn't know what he is doing. He is hating on many races and accusing all of them of many things.

  27. Yes, I do believe hes trying to take out all illegal immigrants. I don't think he should president hes far too aggressive with what he says and he can lead people in the wrong ways.

  28. The idea it's self is so ridiculous. He's only doing this because he's so racist and has this urge feeling to abolish Mexicans from pursuing a better life

  29. All the stuff he has said in his election about deporting immigrants is something I've never heard someone say, so racist and disrespectful. This guy is not meant to be president what so ever. He does not know what he is doing, he just wants attention and fame that's all.
