After the debates, there has been a steady incline in support for Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton. As we all saw, the debates proved disastrous for Donald Trump. The polls after ever debate stated that Hillary Clinton had won. Not only that but media has been attacking him belligerently. Some states like Colorado, which has been typically a Republican state has been slowly turning more Democratic. Even personally, I know some conservatives that are voting for Hillary because Trump is just too extreme. It looks like the chances of Hillary becoming President are high. However, this piece talks about how Hillary needs to do even more to make sure that she wins the election. What do you think?
Should Hillary put even more effort into the race so that she can go into Election Day knowing she won?
Is putting more resources into the campaign futile seeing that she already has a really high chance of winning?
What do you think Trump can do it in order to lessen the gap between himself and Hillary?
I don't think that Hillary should take votes for granted. Many citizens might not bother to vote because they think that Hillary has such a high chance of winning. It is important that Hillary continues to put full force into her campaign in order to win. Trump would really need to focus on getting swing states like Florida and Ohio in order to lessen the gap between himself and Hillary.
ReplyDeleteTrump has been a wild card from the beginning. I feel like it´s too early to call a victory for Hillary because polling data is too unpredictable and while it swayed during the debate, it may normalize again.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is too early for Hillary to give up and be confident that she will win. There is so much in this campaign recently that Trump might find another way to come back but Hillary should keep trying to win the swing states that are not sure that they will vote for her. Many voters may not be compelled to vote because they think that she will win no matter what, which will make her lose. She should keep trying to win more and more votes
ReplyDeleteI feel that after the debates, Trump already widened the gap between him winning against Clinton. I don't think there's much that Trump can say or do in order to lessen that gap, especially with Republican states leaning more towards Democratic. I think that Clinton definitely can try to put some more effort in in order to try to convince more Republicans to vote Democratic, but I don't think it's necessary with her high chance of winning.
ReplyDeleteI think Clinton has put a lot of effort into this debate. I think the stuff that has happened wit Trump recently has made it harder for him to win. I don't think putting more effort into her campaign will guarantee her a win. I don't think Trump can do anything to try and get ahead. He has ruined this campaign for himself.
ReplyDeleteI think that Clinton should not just rest easy for this election because Donald Trump is not going to give up. His ego absolutely forbids him from giving up. Both candidates should still try their best to gain support, otherwise this wouldn't be an election anymore.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that Hillary Clinton shouldn't take votes for granted. There have been many factors that made this debate unpredictable, so there can possibly be a way for her to not win. She should be able to put in more effort into the race to ensure her victory. Many voters are still unsure about voting, and they may opt to vote for a third party candidate as a "protest vote," and these would be votes that would have pushed Clinton even more in the lead. There isn't much that Trump can do to lessen the gap between him and Hillary Clinton because his misogynistic, racist, and immature remarks have received negative reception, thus placing him out of the public's favor.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I don't think there is much that Trump can do to win unless he makes a big speech and he becomes less extreme, but at this point the damage is done. I think Clinton will win the election and she should not take her predicted votes for granted, but I think it is safe for her to assume she has the upper hand in this election. I don't think she needs to put more resources into her campaign, but she should continue what she is doing in order to solidify her win.
ReplyDeleteYes Hilary has put in a lot of work towards this election, but she should not just sit back and relax knowing she won the debates according to the polls. Anything could happen with the results of the election and at this point I think the best both nominees can do to better their chance of winning is focusing on gaining support.
ReplyDeleteWhat Hillary needs to do is expose Trump and flame all the deplorables per se. She need to get more money from George Soros and make sure the voting machines are properly working so there is no voter fraud in order to win the game.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the strong approach that Trump has taken in his campaig, I dont think he will be able to take the lead.
ReplyDeleteI think that Hillary needs to continue to put more effort to be perfectly safe she wins. There could still be actions taken by Trump which could cause him to gain more votes. I think Trump will need to continue to expose Hillary more than he already has if he wants a chance at winning.
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump is quite the clever person and more than likely has some tricks up his sleeves that would close the gap between him and Hillary Clinton. So if Hillary wants to secure her position as the next president then she has to go full throttle in these last moments in the race.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that Hilary should put more effort into her campaign if she wants to feel like she will will the election.
ReplyDeleteI feel that Hillary needs to put in constant effort to show the country that she is ready to lead. The only way I personally can see Donald Trump closing the gap is stop vocalizing all these radical ideas, come down to Earth, and make doable plans that the country supports.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Hilary should continue putting in effort into the debate even if she thinks she won because if she starts giving up and Trump sees it he can use it as an advantage for himself to take the lead in the ballots. We want a leader who leads and never gives up and if Hilary gives up towards the end maybe that not the type of leader that this country needs. Yes I think putting in more resources for the debate is important even if she has already won because it goes back to the original point of not giving up and fighting till the end. Trump just has to stay committed and fight till its over because no one knows and maybe this race could be closer than people expect.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Hillary puts more and more effort as election day gets closer and she is showing that she is ready for office by ignoring Trump and focusing on her campaign and plans as she gets closer to winning. Hillary is in the lead because she actually provides information regarding her plans and not just talks about what may happen she also seems to be very mature at least more than Trump.
ReplyDeleteI think that it was clearly evident that Trump had lost the debates severely. Hillary should not stop at the pace she i going. Naturally, the candidates will want to put out more campaigns and advertising for themselves as the election day is closer. If Hillary stops what she is doing now, then she may lose some steam and Trump can get back up there, so I think that she should just continue.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think Hillary should continue to work at her campaign in order to ensure the win, I think trump needs to be more of a respectful speaker in order to not look childish
ReplyDeleteI believe if Hillary truly wants to win, she will continue to out due Trump in terms of propaganda and all the other methods she is using to give her more votes. If she simply gives up and allows Trump to catch up, it can ruin her chances at becoming president.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Luke that if she wants to win this forsure she must put the effort in to do so because knowing Trump he will go above and beyond just so he can win even though Clinton has the lead over him he still will try his hardest
ReplyDeleteI think clinton should put in more effort in order to win. I think she's doing less at the moment because she feels like she has the lead, so she'll win anyway.
ReplyDeleteHillary should definitely put more effort even though she is in the lead. She has a high chance of winning but she needs to put more resources. Trump can find ways for his supporters to spread the word and gain more voters.
