Hurt syrian girl image goes viral

There have been many disturbing images of children in Syria being hit by an airstrike. The video shows an 8 year old girl  named Aya covered in dust, blood running down her forehead and nose. The poor girl looks scared, confused and keeps calling for her dad. She keeps on sobbing and wants her "daddy" during the nurses are cleaning her up.  An airstrike hit their home in Talbiseh on Monday. At least two people died in Aya's town,  her siblings and parents are wounded as well. Aya has been reunited with her family and are fine. They are trying to find a home due to their house being destroyed by an airstrike. The city of Aleppo has been the epicenter Syria's war thats been going on for five years.

Questions:
1) What should the U.S. do to stop these children and people get hurt?
2)  What would you do if you were in this situation ?
3)  Do civilians deserve this type of violence ?

  1. I'm glad that shes reunited with her family. I think that the US needs to get into an agreement with our allies to come up with a plan that helps out Syria, because too many people are dying, and too many civilians are getting hurt.

  2. There wouldn't be a lot for me to do if I was placed into this situation, especially if no one knew that it was coming. I would probably just need to hope for the best in the end. But of course, no civilians should deserve this kind of violence, especially if they're not directly involved in their country's affairs. It's not right.

  3. I think it is up to other countries to help this country in crisis. The US should let in refugees or at least create safe zones guarded by US troops

  4. I think that other countries need to help. It is unfair that these innocent children are getting hurt. These civilians do not deserve this kind of violence.

  7. Not only does the U.S. need to help, but other countries need to as well. If I were in this situation, I would try to move and get out of the war zone. I believe these innocent people do not deserve this.

  8. I believe in this situation that not only the US but many countries need to come together to help. Innocent civilians don't deserve to be exploited to this harsh treatment.

  9. I also agree that no civilian in Syria especially children should be going through this ordeal. I think that we should step in the right direction and work with other counties to out a end to this civil war in Syria. At this point countries should help Syria in sending them aid to properly care for their civilians.

  10. I agree with Thomas on the fact that I think it is up to other countries to help this country in crisis. The US should let in refugees or at least create safe zones guarded by US troops

  11. The US should provide the help that they can, but not necessarily be provided by the American government. I feel that organizations in the US should help raise funds themselves since the US government has so much on their plate already.Civilians do not deserve this kind of treatment and should be helped in anyway they can.

  12. I think that the US should help aid these other countries in every way that they can. But i think it is impractical to promise that all of these immigrants can come into the US

  13. This is a very tragic event and the best way for the US to get involved is to offer aid. We should refrain from taking political actions, but prioritize helping the people instead. Offering help in any way possible is urgent.

  14. I think that the US should send help to these countries. If I was in this situation I would just pray and hope for the best. Civilians do not deserve, nothing was done wrong.

  15. i think that America should allow more Syrian immigrants to hold asylum in the United States. I dont think sending agents to Syria to provide relief will be a good idea because they will be vulnerable and the situation in Syria is too complicated and dangerous to be actively intervening in its politics.

  16. There is not much that can be done to stop things like this from happening. I do not know what I would do in this situation. No civilian deserves that type of violence.

  17. To be honest there is not much that can be done to stop this tragedy. However, I believe that the US should allow these Syrian immigrants to hold Asylum here. No civilians, especially children, deserve to be in the middle of war. If I were in this situation I have no idea what I would do at all.

  18. The US should provide some aid to the Syrians so that they aren't in a lot of danger all the time. If I were in the child's situation, I would hope for the best even though a lot of the hope has probably been lost.

  19. The US should evacuate the children since they are afraid of a terrorist disguised as a Syrian Refugee. Providing care for minors is the least we can do to help aid the civilians who wish not to be in this hostile environment. If I were in this situation I would flee to another country with my family to ensure our safety.

  20. Civilians do not deserve this kind of treatment. They do not do anything and it is not their fault. I do not think there is a lot the United States can do to stop this kind of treatment, but they should secure the safety of their own country so this does not happen to any Americans.

  22. We need to preserve the innocence of children to make sure they are no longer hurt by the racism of the country people have.

  23. I think the US will not be able to stop these air strikes but they can support the civilians by sending medical assistance and everyday supplies for them. The civilians do not deserve to be treated like this. The war should be between the soldiers.

  24. They should shop sending airstrikes. I would probably be really traumatized and scared. No they do not deserve this type of violence.

  25. US can stop these people from getting hurt is to try to stop these airstrikes from happening. If I was in this situation I would try to panic and I would to make safety shelter if this air strike ever strikes again. Civilians defiantly do not deserve this kind of violence since they are only civilians and did nothing to deserve having airstrikes dropped on their home where their kids and family members could get hurt or even killed.

  26. The US could let these Syrian refugees in instead of letting them die and feel helpless. If I was in this situation, I would be very scared and feel like there is no hope for the future for me. Civilians don't deserve this type of violence as it is very cruel.

  27. This situation is very difficult to find a solution to, but I believe the U.S. should help if possible. As Thomas said, safe zones for civilians could be a possibility. Also, organizations within the U.S. can help provide resources for these civilians. Civilians do not deserve this type of violence since they are caught in the middle of the war. If I were in this situation, I would be very scared as well and unsure what to do.

  28. It is devastating to see this little girl practically stripped of her vitality. The US must act upon this. We should intervene in a way that will not get us engaged in this war. America has started too many wars that we cannot finish, but simple aid can help the state of Syria. No one deserves this type of situation, and if I were the girl, I would be in a state of complete hopelessness.

  29. I believe that the US should find any possible help that does not involve war because it will only make it worse. It is sad that the kids have to be involved in actions like these and loose their family members the best that the US can do is find a way to help these kids and families because it is not truly fair.

  30. I believe that the US needs to focus on the safety of the civilians. It is more important to make sure that people are safe than to try and start more violence to end it. After protecting the people, the US should must act upon the violence without getting into war. No one, even the worst of people deserve this. If I was the girl I would feel helpless, scared, and defeated and no child should ever feel that way.

  31. No I don't think these civilians deserve this type of violence because most of them are innocent bystanders and they are being attacked for other people's responsibilities and that is not ok.

  32. I believe that the US should continue with Obama's plan to take in over 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year in order to narrow down the amount of people being wounded in these airstrikes.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Innocent civilians do not deserve this type of torture and feelings of not having safety in their own homes. I do not think that the U.S can really do anything to prevent this from happening but it is tragic that even little kids have to experience the nature of war.

  34. I think if the us can't find a solution to end war then we should allow more refugees to come to the us, especially children. I do not think civilians deserve this type of life especially children.

  35. US can stop these people from getting hurt is to try to stop these airstrikes from happening. If I was in this situation I would try to panic and I would to make safety shelter if this air strike ever strikes again. I believe these innocent people do not deserve this.

  36. The US can help innocent civilians by protecting them instead of keeping the war going. It's hard to imagine myself in this scary position; I'd be very scared and traumatized by this experience. Putting myself in the girl's shoes makes me feel horrible for all the pain that the innocent civilians are going through there. Civilians never deserve this type of violence. Civilians should never get hurt over a war between the military and countries.

  37. The trouble is that in some cases, the US military is the cause of injury pain for people like this girl and her family. By becoming more involved in the Middle East to fight against ISIS forces, there will surely be collateral damage.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think the US can step in and help in a way of not getting totally involved. Civilians should most definitely not be exposed to this and should not pay the price. It is probably horrible to not feel safe in your own home.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The US should send more help and be more involved. If I were in this position I would want more safety precaution and more security. Civilians do not deserve this type of violence there is no need for it.

  40. I believe that civilians do not deserve this type of violence, I think that the US should get more involved and send more help.

  41. I think it's wrong to expose these innocent children and families to such violence. This isn't the first time innocent families have been hurt and it's not right. I think the US needs to intervene and put a stop to this. And if not that, then US should grant more refugees to enter the states

    ReplyDelete
  42. I believe no one deserves this type of violence, especially civilians. This being civilians should not the ones involved in violent environments, only troops of the US and soldiers from other countries should.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The US should have some type of agreement or something to bring those children to a safer state because those children have no fault in what is happening and don't deserve that violence

    ReplyDelete
  44. We need to explain that these people have nothing to do with any kind of attacks and that its only one group of people that is doing it. Many people have been beaten and called many names, it's time that we come to a conclusion to stop these terrorist attacks instead of talking about it.

  45. It's not good that Syria as a whole is being targeted, when it is only a certain part of Syria that the US should really worry about.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think the US needs to get involved and sent troops to help and let refugees in

    ReplyDelete
  47. I know that kids don't deserve these type of violence, they should never experience them, they are just kids wanting to live life the fullest and be happy and that is why we need more protective people

    ReplyDelete
  48. No civilians should deserve this kind of violence -especially when they have no their country's affairs. Although the US cannot do much to prevent future attacks, we should send as much help as possible to the people affected.
