Trumps path to victory is narrowing

Polls taken after the release of the recordings of Donald Trump talking disrespectfully about Women in a sexual manner, show that 3 major swing states (Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin) are now leaning towards Clinton. Many State Polls now show that Trump's path to 270 electoral college votes is now extremely narrow. After the tapes release, Trump campaign also pulled resources from Virginia, basically giving the states votes to Clinton. Studies show that Trump will need to win one of the three major swing states that are now leaning democratic, in order to gain the 270 electoral college votes.

1. Is it right to lean away from Trump because of recordings from over 10 years ago?
2. Was it stupid to pull resources from Virginia, a big swing state in the election?
3. How do you think Trump can come back from the recordings being released?

  1. I believe if people will make a big deal about a recording from 10 years ago, people should care about a certain person who deleted a lot of emails. I think It wasn't their business to pull from Virginia. I think he has a chance if he can find and release more about his opponent (Hilary who should already be in jail)

  2. trump will probably never come back from this. This right here ruined his some what chances of being president. What happened 10 years doesn't mean that it's not irrelevant today.

  3. I do agree with Drew on the point that this was over ten years ago, and what he said was horrible but it was a long time ago. If we look into the past for both presidential candidates then Hillary also said things that she now says the exact opposite.

  4. At the end of the day it was over 10 years ago. Does that excuse what he did? Of course not it never will. The things he said were vulgar and absolutely horrible. Anybody with that type of language towards women is awful. However, it seems people only nit pick Trump. In reality how much has Hillary done? She has probably done worse things than just vulgar talk. As a matter of fact she's had much vulgar language during all of her years of work. The only reason her language has changed is because she supported Obama after she one. Almost all of her beliefs were opposite of Obama, but the next thing you know she's basically riding on the same train as him. She's even done worse than just mere talking. Her actions have gone under the rug for so long. Yes people knew about them, but made no big deal about them. If Nixon faced impeachment, and then had to resign because of deleted recordings... Why does Hillary get to run for president if she deleted over 30,000 emails. It was no mistake. She basically has tons and tons of people watching her every move. Someone had to have seen what she did. There had to be. If people lack the intelligence to realize that what she did was no mistake... Then those people should not be allowed to vote at all. Overall, both have done horrible things. If you're going to hold one accountable for something from 10 years ago, then you must hold the other accountable for all the things that they have done.

  5. I think that the video from 10 years ago is still a good reflection of Trump's character and shouldn't be excused as outdated evidence. I do think that giving up on Virginia was a bad move on Trump's part because he is in dire need of peoples votes.

  6. I agree with all what has been said above. Trump's intensely vulgar language against this woman (who was also married, by the way) is still highly unacceptable, even though he said it over a decade ago. Again and again, this unqualified presidential candidate reminds us that he is a misogynistic, racist homophobe who has no concern for others and constantly covers these stories up as if they are irrelevant to the 2016 election. The more Trump is revealed as who he really is, the less people will vote for him. Hopefully...

  7. I agree with Drew, a recording from 10 years ago is bad yes, but it is just as bad as deleting a bunch of emails and making everyone plead the fifth when bringing it up. I think we should care about the recordings however because like Shanna said his character hasn't changed much at all. It's scary that we have un trustful people running for president. Yes I think it was dumb that he pulled everything out of Virginia because he does need as many votes as he can get. I think Trump is just going to keep bringing up Hillarys emails but I think this one is going to be very hard to come back form.

  8. I agree with everyone. Trump's usage of language is very unacceptable, even though he may had said that 10 years ago. I believe Virginia is giving up because Trump did a bad move due to the desperate need of votes.

  9. Although Trump's comments towards women was made 10 years ago, it still is relevant. Just as crime, it will forever be something unchangeable, and by Trump stating he respects women, we clearly see he has made false statements. No, Trump cannot come back from the recordings released until he proves with actions that what a declares, is true

  10. I think it is right to lean away from Trump after that comment he made, even if it was 10 years ago. It is relevant today especially considering he is pushing it away as "locker room talk" this shows what he thinks upon women and it shows what will happen to our country if he is elected. He does not respect women even though he claims to and this just adds fuel to the fire of his disrespect of women. I think that he should not have pulled away from Virginia if he wanted a chance to win but because he has and does not have many days left to make up the numbers he has lost he does not have much of a chance to come back

  11. this is definitely going to turn people away from trump if they are on the fence. I don't think there is much to defend from the recordings, the only thing he can do is try and show he has changed.

  12. It would be stupid to rescind support for someone because of something from ten years prior, if that person showed any marked change. trump has done absolutely nothing and showed absolutely nothing to suggest that he has changed from that person in any way.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think that though this comment was made so long ago, it still has relevance because Trump has made other derogatory comments towards groups of people throughout this campaign. Additionally, the fact that he is still trying to brush it off as "locker room talk" indicates that he should not be supported.

  14. Trump is a racist misognyist buffoon who is making the election a real clown fiesta per se(tm). Like look at this dude he is a women hater worst than Bill Clinton! This guy talks about sending Clinton to jail like that's a valid claim lol. That's just cyberbullying on Twitter and he is wrong. We need the first women President because Hillary will make America safe again.

  15. I think it's right to lean away from Trump due to the recordings from over 10 years ago because like Arya said, it obviously still has relevance. The only way Trump could come back from the recordings being released would be to apologize and make it really sappy but believable and add how it's hurting him to see others hurt or something along those lines in order to get people in the palm of his hand.

  16. I think its better that Trump's real personality has finally come out and a lot more people are actually able to see the damage he can cause to the country if he was to become president.

  17. It is right to lean away from Trump because of the recordings from over 10 years ago. I agree with Daniela that despite the years, it still has importance. In order for trump to come back from this downfall, he must apologize.

  18. Yews it is right to lean away from Trump because in my opinion he is a better person. I think he will just denies the facts like he always does and dances around the truth.

  19. I believe that it's right to lean away from Trump if that is what one chooses to do so because it shows his character and what kind of a person he is. Your past has a huge influence on who you are today. It will be very difficult for him to come back from this downfall, but he could start with an apology and drastically changing his behavior and attitude which will most likely not happen in all honesty.

  20. I believe that its the persons choice whether or not they want to face away from Trump or they want to continue to support him. What happened in the past happened already, but you never whether it might come back to haunt you later in your life. I don't think Trump can come back from these recordings because of what he said in his recording is nothing to come back from or even try to fight back and plea his case. Trump has the tendency to say incorrect things and then realize later that it is going to haunt him when it matters most.

  21. I believe it is right to lean away from Donald Trump after the vulgar remarks he made 10 years ago. He easily dismissed it as "locker room banter," and this type of dismissal is what leads to issues such as disrespecting women or even rape. Though these recordings are 10 years old, they provide insight into Donald Trump's character and how he disrespects women. This demonstrates Trump as a misogynist as he continues to make derogatory comments towards particular groups. People can choose whether they want to support him or not, but I feel that this highly offensive recording permanently discouraged many voters.

  22. I think it is right to lean away from trump because of the recordings because it really shows the people how trump really is when he's not in front of a camera. I think it is stupid for them to pull out of Virginia because with the releasing of the recordings they are going to need all of the votes they can get. I don't think trump can come back from that because people have already been questionable of home for the things he said during the election and this just made it worse.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I believe that even though the recordings are from 10 years ago they help to better know trump behind all the cameras. trump has made many mistakes over and over again and has denied many situations that have been recorded and now that he is running for president he is trying to hide them.

  24. I believe that it is right to lean away from Trump. Although the tapes and recordings are from 10 years ago, he has not done anything to prove that he doesn't still think like that today. He has been recorded and taped saying vial things way to many times. He is supposed to be a role model. By leaning towards him, people are letting the next generations believe that it is okay to treat minorities and women with such disrespect. I personally do not believe that Trump will be able to come back from all of this, however, you never know.

  25. I think it is right to lean away from Trump because of the recordings because it is very unlikely that his opinions have changed.

  26. I think that this will definitely make people lean away from Trump because it once again shows what type of person he is, and the opinions he has about women. Not only does this show his character, it also shows that he is not ready nor is he qualified to be President of our country.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes it is right to lean towards Hillary Clinton now because it is just another reason not to vote for him. No it was not stupid. He cannot come back.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I believe that this make people lean away from Trump. Even though the tapes are from a while back, it is unlikely that his opinions are different today. I do not believe that he has the qualities and morals to be a fair and just president.

  29. We can't ignore things that presidential candidates have said and done in the past, no matter when they happened. Most politicians who run for president plan their path to doing so for years and years. If Trump was okay with saying these things in public ten years ago, this means he was likely not planning to run for President until much later in his life. This makes me question his character, because the beliefs you have at your core can't be switched off once you decide you want to become our nation's leader.

  30. I think Trump's words and actions ten years ago still stand with him today. There is no doubt he is that same person, look at the way he acts. He calls it "locker room talk", yet he was in a relationship and thats also sexual assault. I think Trump has no chance now that he has lost 3 swing states.

  32. What we do in the past makes us who we are today, so I say yes what he said 10 years ago should be taken into account.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I believe that it is right to lean away from Trump because of the recordings, even though it is something that happened 10 years ago we should still take it into consideration of what he did and what he is still doing.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Despite this having happened 10 years ago, this was still said by the same man that is now running for president. He may say that he is a changed man, but comments like these really display how an individual visualizes woman, and in his case, he objectified woman to a level that is unacceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't think it is relevant when they bring up the recording from ten years ago because he already apologized and most people weren't very surprised, because we already now he is like that. I think the only way to rebound for Trump would be to formally apologize to the women that he offended, however it does not seem likely.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think we should just lean away from him all together he is a man who doesn't really care about anyone, but himself. I think Trump began digging this hole in the election ten years ago and he can't dig himself up because of the past.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't think there is a way for trump to come back. Hes making it hard for people to like him especially when different things in the past keep coming back. Like there is no way to hide what happened in the past and all of his recording were going to be released eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Even though this was ten years ago, it still gives Donald Trump a bad image. I honestly don't believe there is anything that can help him gather more supporters because he has made so many contradictory statements, which make people not want to vote for him

  40. This will destroy Trumps Campaign path in the long run because this puts a really bad rep on Trump and his campaign. Im very suprised if anyone is still on his side.

  41. I do not think it is correct to lean away from Trump because of recordings from ten years ago. Everyone makes mistakes and in this case Trump might have made a mistake which should not take anything away from him becoming a president. One way I think Trump can come back from the recordings is trying to apologize for his actions and try to make amends with the mistake that Trump made ten years ago. I believe if Trump takes matters in to his own hands and realizes that he made a mistake and apologizes for it everything will be okay, if not then Trump is in serious trouble in his presidential journey.

  42. I do not think Trump has a chance of winning anymore. even though it was ten years ago, I think it will still mes up his chances of winning.
